Future Plans

Even though I do not know where life is going to take me however I do know what my plans are. I will graduate from Georgia Southern University in May 2011. I really want to be an event planner (this is one of my joys in life). Anytime that I can plan an event I jump on board. Event planning allows me to be creative and bring my personality to it. I would love to work with a non-profit organization or an organization similar. I really want to move out of state or away from my hometown. I have always lived here (Georgia). It is a great state however I would love to see what more is out there. It is a big world and I want to see it all. I hope that with my job I will be able to travel occasionally.

Lately, I have debating Grad School but I am still unsure on that direction of my life at this time. I do know that if I decide to go to Grad School the program I will enter will be Higher Education. This will allow me to teach at a University and I would enjoy working in the Leadership Office. The leadership office at GSU has given me so many opportunities that in return I would love to give other students the same opportunities I have had. Also, I would go back to my original plans, event planning. The leadership office is always planning events.

Who in my life means the most to me

There are so many people in my life that mean so much to me; starting with my parents, brothers, boyfriend, and friends. Each person has a special part in my heart.

My dad is the hardest working person I know. He works from sun up to sun down to make sure that my mom, brothers, and myself included have a great life. He provides for us all and never complains knowing he is worn out.  He teaches me and my brother life lessons. He is always making sure we are prepared for the real world. He is truly the best father and man I know.

My mom is loving, caring, and a great mom and women. She is always teaching me how to carry myself. My mom has always been there for me encouraging me to be the best person I can be. If something major happens in my life she is usually the first call.

My brothers: I have two younger brothers and they act like my body guards. They keep me grounded and full of life. I love going back home and seeing them.  My brothers are my rock, I love being a role model for them and at the same time learning things from them.

My boyfriend is my life. We have been together for 7 yrs. I love being with him. He is always telling me how great he thinks I am doing in school. He is so encouraging and loving. I can just sit with him and carry on a conversation and it seems as though it will never end.  He keeps me grounded, if it seems like I am getting frustrated or tired he is their saying, “don’t give up, you can accomplish it.” He is the BEST!!!

There are so many friends….they know who they are and what they mean to me!!!

Material Item(s) I can’t live without

Even though there are so many items I use in my everyday life.  I feel as though I could not live without my cell phone and car.

The first would be my cell phone. I was given my first phone the same day I was given my first car. Yes age 16. It was for Christmas. My mom and dad did not want me on the road and no way to call for help if I needed to. Before getting my car my parents thought cell phones were useless. Being in college this is how I stay in touch with my family and friends back home.

The second would be my car. I know this probably sounds funny. My car is what takes me back and forth to school, work, and ect. My mom’s car was messed up and I let her borrow my car for a week. I walked back and forth to class that whole week. The walking to class did not bother me until it was dark or if I had to go up town to run an errand. I was so glad when my mom’s car was fixed and I got mine back.

There are so many items that we take for granted for example: having shoes, washer and dryer, bed to sleep in, television to watch, blankets to keep us warm and the list goes on. We need to learn that yes there are items that we think we can not live without but the truth is that we can because there are people everyday living without a cell phone, car, pair of shoes, bed and ect.

Super Bowl 2010

I have to admit that I do not watch football very often. I guess the reason is that I have no clue what is going on. My brothers get so annoyed with me because I am constantly asking them, “why did they throw a flag, why are the going back in yards, and there are several others. They try their best to be patient with me but after the first quarter they are like sis can you please “shut up”.  So i just sit there and wonder what is happening or I just leave the room and come back when I hear the commercials.  GO COLTS (Peyton Manning)….I have to put that for my brothers….Love you! =)

Commercials are the best part so I researched and came across an article of Rolling Stones 25 Best Super Bowl Commercials Ever! It is amazing how much money is spent making and put these commercials on the air for 30 seconds during the Super Bowl. The article stated, “the average thirty-second spot this year cost a whopping $2.6 million — that’s $86,666 per second of ad time.”  Some of these videos are hilarious.

This is another video (Hilarious Budweiser Commercial) that I came across and it had me laughing so hard.
